How IronsExpert makes money
As an Amazon Associate, IronsExpert earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon.com on this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay the same as you would by going to Amazon directly; the commission comes out of Amazon’s margin.
Amazon Associates is currently the only affiliate program we belong to. We have no other affiliate, advertising or referral arrangements. If that changes, we will update this page and say so.
How our Amazon links are marked
Links to Amazon on this site carry our Associates tracking tag, which is how Amazon knows the sale came from us, and they are marked rel="sponsored" so search engines can see they are commercial. Some older pages use Amazon short links or links that pass through our own domain (/recommend/); these are also affiliate links.
Does commission affect what we recommend?
No. Amazon sets its commission rate by product category, not by brand or model, so we earn the same rate whichever steam iron or steam generator you choose from a guide. There is no financial reason for us to push one product over another.
We do not accept free samples, review units, sponsored posts or paid placements. Brands cannot pay to appear in a guide, move up a ranking or have a review changed.
How we choose the products we cover
We shortlist models on sale from Amazon.com and other major US retailers, then compare them on published specifications and the retailer listings. Our reviews and guides are research-based: we do not run a testing laboratory and we never present research as a hands-on test. Reporting errors
Specifications change, models are discontinued and we sometimes get things wrong. If you spot a mistake or a link that no longer points to the right product, please contact us. We check every report, correct the page where needed, and note material corrections on the page with a date.
