Product Description

This sleek, multi-directional iron delivers 1700-Watts of power and 360° steam to glide through everyday ironing with a sleek, ergonomic design and non-stick, double-tipped soleplate. A five-setting heat control dial provides the ideal temperatures for different fabrics, and four adjustable steam settings make short work of wrinkles and creases. The large, ultra-smooth anodized aluminum soleplate is an excellent heat conductor for faster heating, and highly scratch resistant for years of easier ironing. Plus, its unique elliptical surface slides effortlessly in any direction on any fabric to help reduce ironing time. Iron quickly and evenly with a five-setting temperature control dial designed to monitor and maintain the precise temperature you choose for different fabrics. A bright indicator light illuminates when the proper temperature is reached. With a smart arrangement of steam vents around the soleplate's edges, the iron applies more steam over a wider ironing area for more efficiency in less time. Set to HIGH for heavier and everyday fabrics, LOW for more delicate fabrics and quick, easy touch-ups or choose DRY for ironing when no steam is needed. Automatically keep your iron's steam vents clean, clear and steaming like new with a built-in anti-calcium cleaning system to reduce natural sediment build-up in the iron's vaporizing chamber. With the one-touch Jet-of-Steam feature, a powerful burst of steam through the soleplate quickly penetrates clothing, sheets and more to help you tackle tough wrinkles and creases. With the push of a button, the iron's vertical steam feature directs a full burst of steam to relax and remove winkles in hanging garments, curtains, drapes and more. For safety, a smart sensor automatically deactivates the iron when it’s left standing in the upright position for 10 minutes, after 60 seconds if the iron is left unattended on its soleplate or if tipped over on its side.

Panasonic 360 Multi-Directional Freestyle Steam/Dry Iron

Panasonic 360 Multi-Directional Freestyle Steam/Dry Iron
The first time I ever used a Panasonic 360 Freestyle steam/dry iron was in Japan and it was cordless. I fell in love with it and wanted to buy one right then and there but the voltage was not equipped for the US standards. My other hesitation was that it was cordless. I love the idea of a cordless iron but I iron a lot of items at one given time and having to recharge it would be a waste of time. When I got home to the USA, I started to do some research and found that Panasonic made a 360 freestyle steam/dry iron with a cord and bought it recently. I read tons of reviews on this iron but I kept an open mind because what one might consider a flaw isn’t necessarily a flaw to someone else. Here is what I found using the iron for four straight days:The water chamber is way too dark. You can’t see the water level at all. You have to hold it up to the light and still that doesn’t do much good. Shining a flashlight helped a little bit but not much. So those reviews are true about the water chamber. The iron draws so much current that the handle near the cord gets too hot. The iron is under designed for that current. I am a person that can handle a lot of pain, but even for me this is too hot. They need to make the handle with a heavy plastic or metal and use a wider heavier cord to handle the current. The overall handle feels comfortable in the hand. I love the way it travels across the material smoothly with the soleplate being nonstick and the multifunctional plate. It fits in tight spaces between buttons and pockets nicely. I originally thought the base of the legs “The Stand” would block my view of the material but I found that it was not an issue for me. I like how the legs sit on the ironing board. The iron never tipped over or fell. The way the legs are designed keeps it from tipping over and I love that. The weight of the iron is prefect. It is not too light and not too heavy. The weight in my opinion is perfect for pressing and getting out the wrinkles faster. The design of this iron makes ironing a faster process all around. The cord of this iron is long and the swivel head moves without getting stuck. Two awesome features!I found that this iron does not leak at all. My Rowenta leaks like crazy.I love the location of the temperature dial and the spray buttons on the iron. I always look for this design set-up when I buy an iron.If Panasonic would fix the color of the water chamber, the handle, and cord this would be the ultimate iron and they would probably get more people to purchase it because it really is an outstanding iron. It makes me sick to my stomach to return this iron because I love it that much. If the water chamber was my only issue I would deal with it and keep it. My husband who is an engineer also thought that it was under designed for the current. He felt this was concerning and advised me to return it. Those that can deal with the three issues I found are pretty lucky to keep an incredible iron. I would choose this iron over Rowenta any day! Please Panasonic makes these changes and I will buy it again without hesitation.
